Zackary Morse

GRAND TOWER – Zackary Morse, age 14, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at home in Grand Tower.

Zackary was born on October 4, 2010 in Carbondale to Chirstopher Morse and Britany Scholz.

Zackary loved watching Sponge Bob and Lion King. He enjoyed riding in dad’s truck and getting the ladies attention.

Zackary is survived by father, Christopher (Jessica) Morse; mother, Britany Scholz; three siblings; aunt, Amanda Morse; cousins, Destany, Miranda, Katie and Amie Crowden and Ashlynn Golliher; aunt Jennifer Berry; cousins, Paige and Annie Berry; and three great aunts who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death his brother, Brentley Morse; grandma, Jeanette Cook and aunt Summer Scholz.

Funeral Services for Zackary will be at 1:00pm on Friday, March 28, 2025 at the Meredith Funeral Chapel in Grand Tower. Burial will follow at Walker Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of service on Friday at the funeral chapel.

Memorials may be made in Zackary’s name to International Rett Syndrome Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
