Vicki Lynn Cannon

CARBONDALE - Vicki Cannon, 74, passed away on November 7, 2021 at Memorial Hospital Carbondale.



Vicki was born in Murphysboro, IL on July 31, 1947, to Charles and Danis (Phillips) Piquard. Vicki married Joseph Cannon on October 8, 1966 in Sand Ridge. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2005.



Vicki worked at the Southern Illinoisan Newspaper for many years and also at Tuck Tape in Carbondale. She enjoyed spending time crocheting, knitting, working crossword puzzles and going to the Usac and Arca Races in Du Quoin.



Vicki is survived by her children, Jeffrey Clay Cannon and Rebecca Lynn Cannon both of Carbondale; and brothers, Charles “Butch” Piquard and Danny (Debbie) Piquard.



She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Joey Cannon; and brother, Gary Piquard.



Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00pm on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale. Graveside services will immediately follow at Blairsville Cemetery with Pastor Andrew Mifflin officiating.



In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Funeral Home to help with expenses.
