Valerie S Henshaw

MARION – Valerie S. Aikman Henshaw, age 64, of Marion, passed away peacefully on November 11th, 2019, at home.



Valerie was born on June 20, 1955, to Sam V. and Elflora (Kaeser) Aikman in Marion.



For many years she was a caregiver for several members of her family and others.



Valerie is survived by her son Christopher Henshaw of Marion, mother Elflora K. Aikman of Marion, sister and brother-in-law Vicki and Jeff Hayes of Herrin, brother and sister-in-law Vance and Marla Aikman of Marion, brother and sister-in-law Vick and Janice Aikman of Robinson, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.



Valerie was preceded in death by her father Sam V. Aikman, and niece and nephew Alexis and Brett Aikman, among other dear family members. She will be sadly missed.

Per Valerie’s wishes she will be cremated and a private family ceremony will be held at a later date.



Memorials may be made to the donors’ choice or to the family to help defray funeral expenses.



Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale assisted the family with arrangements.
