Terry Lee Nance, age 67, of Carbondale, Illinois and Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on the morning of November 15, 2023, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Terry was known for his wit, handiness, and stubborn nature. While Terry was not a perfect father, husband, son, brother, or friend, he spent the last few years praying to the Lord for forgiveness and asking for guidance on how to make amends.
Terry was a Renaissance man and had many careers working as a coal miner, as a building and lumber specialist at Hugh M. Woods and Brookhart's, and as a building and warehouse technician for Colorado Springs School District 11 and Widefield School District 3.
Terry found solace and joy being outdoors, fishing, hunting, working in the garden, traveling, and being around others. Terry loved the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs and could be heard around the block cheering or shouting at the TV during games.
Terry is survived by his beloved daughter, Ashley (Chris) Reppart along with their children Morgyn and Parker of Colorado. He is survived by his son, Adam (Stacey) Nance, along with their children Taylor, Mackenzie, Cameron, Logan, and Carter of Utah. Additionally, Terry is survived by his daughter Emily Evans (Lionel) and her children Tyree, Bryana, and Gynss of Texas, and his stepdaughter Sara Baez and her child Damien of North Carolina. He also leaves behind several great grandchildren. Terry is survived by his siblings Peggy (Jay) Lewis and Lois (Paul) Gandrimas of Illinois. He is fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, and cousins. Terry will be missed by all who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father Cecil and Felma Nance, brothers Lindell Nance and Bud Nance, and sisters, Jewell Tauber and Mary Stanley, all of Illinois.
In accordance with his wishes, Terry's ashes will be spread among the beautiful Rocky Mountains before being laid to rest in Illinois. No funeral service is scheduled.
Please join the family in honoring Terry's life and sharing cherished memories.
