Sondra Kay Dalton

MAKANDA - Sondra Kay Dalton passed away on January 24th, 2024, at her home in Makanda. She was 78 years old.

Sondra was born on November 25th, 1945, in Anna, IL, to Arthur and Mildred (Butterfield) Vincent.

She is survived by her two sons, Kevin Dalton of Makanda, IL, and Richard Dalton of Arthur, IL; three grandsons, Justin (Christina) Dalton of Schaumburg, IL, Brandon (Angela) Dalton of Springfield, MO, and Wesley Dalton of Anna, IL; three granddaughters, Angelica of Anna, IL, Brittanie of Anna, IL, and Samantha of Des Moines, IA; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Garry (Lynn) Vincent of Makanda, IL; and one sister, Brenda (Galene) Corzine of Makanda, IL, along with other relatives and friends.

Sondra was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mildred Vincent, her daughter Lisa Kay Dalton, her grandson Adam Dalton, and her grandparents, Golbern and Mildred Vincent and Ellis and Maggie Butterfield.

Sondra worked for Roy Walker Communications for 35 years and retired in 2011.

Visitation will be from 10:00am until 12:00pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale. A time of sharing from the family will take place immediately following the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meredith Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
