Shirley Ann Meyer

Shirley Ann Meyer, long-time Carbondale resident and business professional, homemaker and mother of three sons, friend and associate of innumerable southern Illinoisans, died on Tuesday, March 6, unexpectedly after a brief illness.



She will be honored and her life celebrated at a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, June 9. The event will take place at the Unitarian Fellowship building in Carbondale, beginning at 2 pm. Her friends and associates are invited. The address is 105 North Parrish Lane.



In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to one or more of Shirley’s favorite charities. These included Carbondale's Kiwanis Club, Boys and Girls Club of Carbondale, and Southern Illinois University Symphony.
