Shannon Ezra-Lee Crane

August 29, 2000 — April 14, 2025

GRAND TOWER - Shannon Ezra-Lee Crane, age 24, left us far too soon on Monday, April 14, 2025.

Shannon was born on August 29, 2000 in Murphysboro to Michael and Jilian (Cripps) Crane.

At a young age Shannon became a very talented heavy equipment operator and a third-generation member of IOUE Local 318, he will be remembered for his skill, work ethic, and joy in life’s simple pleasures. Shannon’s greatest joy was being a dad to Sophie along with hunting of all things; arrowheads, ducks, goose, turkey, deer and mushrooms. As well as metal detecting and fishing.

As we reflect on the joyful moments shared with Shannon, we invite friends, family, and all who knew him to celebrate his vibrant spirit and the positive impact he had on our lives. A Celebration of Shannon’s life will be held on Saturday, April, 19, 2025 at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church in Grand Tower. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of service on Saturday at the church. We encourage all attendees to share stories, laughter, and memories that embody the love and kindness Shannon radiated. In this time of mourning, let us also come together to celebrate Shannon’s life—his heart, his laughter, and his dreams. Please join us in honoring Shannon Ezra-Lee Crane, a remarkable individual whose spirit will forever shine through the lives he touched.
