He married Linda Rae Harrison on August 1st, 1963 in Murphysboro.
Roscoe is survived by his wife, Linda Rae Nance of Cobden; three children, Robert Eugene Nance(Tish), Daniel Roscoe Nance and wife Della, Sandra Rae Bridges and husband R.E. of Cobden; one sister, Wilma Dean Heern of Makanda; 8 grandchildren, Brandy Nance (Kaleb), Kelly (Chris) Flamm, Stephanie (Danny) Todd, Nathan Nance, Samantha Nance, Casi (Justin) Doiel, Buddy Bridges, R.J. (Kendra) Bridges; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild, other relatives and many friends.

Roscoe was a jack of all trades and bosser of many more. Over the years he worked at orchards, owned an antique store, worked for Southern Gas, Eaton & Brown Appliance, and was even a night watchman at Giant City State Park. He was perhaps best known for his appliance shop where he worked with his wife and the catfish pond that kept all the grandkids busy and amazed his customers. He cherished every moment spent outside with friends and family. Whether it was mowing the lawn, tilling the garden, or simply spending the day on the porch swing, he enjoyed being outdoors.
Roscoe savored every moment spent with his grandkids and great-grandkids. He was the ultimate pest and always a source of great amusement.
He never met a stranger and leaves behind a legacy of family and friendship that will never be forgotten.
