Rosa Lee Saunders

Murphysboro - Rosa Lee Saunders, 75, passed away at 12:40 p.m. Thursday, November 28, 2013 at the Nursing and Rehab Care Center of Jackson County. Rosa was born March 3, 1938 in Little Rock, AR, to Lloyd LeRoy and Agnes Ella (Bortel) Hulett. She married Robert Earl Saunders on December 20, 1978 in Lansing, MI. He preceded her in death. Rosa is survived by three daughters, Julie (Robert) Bollig of Hephzibah, GA, Beth Ann (Michael) Carter of Murphysboro and Amy Jo Schairer of Holt, MI; a sister, Cora Sue Littler of Honor, MI; eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; three nephews; a niece; and a brother-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Lima June Mielke. Rosa was of Christian Science faith in East Lansing, Michigan and a homemaker. As per her wishes, there will not be any services. The family would like to send it's appreciation to the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Facility for their patient and loving care they gave to mom in the years she spent there.
