Robert Moline Iii

Carbondale - Robert Arthur Moline III, 19, of Carbondale, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015, in Carbondale Memorial Hospital. He was born August 16, 1996, in Manhattan, Kansas, the son of Robert Arthur Moline Jr. and Patricia Martin Moline. He grew up in Ames, Iowa, and later moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma, before coming to Carbondale in 2013. He graduated from Carbondale Community High School in 2014 and was a student at John A. Logan College. Robbie loved photography, gardening, animals and the outdoors. He enjoyed hiking, fishing and reading. He was a regular blood donor and food pantry volunteer. His friends and family describe him as friendly, passionate and open-minded and as someone who found beauty in all things. He is survived by his parents and a sister, Katherine Elizabeth, of Carbondale; his maternal grandmother, Alona Martin, of Rushville, Indiana; his paternal grandmother, Elsie Duce Moline, of Marianna, Florida; two uncles, Norman L. Martin Jr. and his wife, Kimberly, of Spiceland, Indiana, and Michael Edward Moline of Tallahassee, Florida; an aunt, Melissa Martin Kibby and her husband, John, of Connersville, Indiana; and several cousins. His maternal grandfather, Norman Lewis Martin, and his paternal grandfather, Robert Arthur Moline, preceded him in death. Robbie's tissues and bones were donated to benefit others. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, individuals sign-up to become organ donors, join the bone marrow registry, give blood or give to the charity of their choice in his honor. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale. A brief memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. with The Very Reverend Kathryn Jeffrey, Rector, St. Andrew's Episcopal Church of Carbondale officiating.
