Randall Smith

CARBONDALE – Randall Smith, 56, of Carbondale passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at home, with his family by his side.



He was born March 24, 1963 in Urbana to Donald and Joyce (Stephens) Smith.



Randall served his country in the Army National Guard from 1984 to 1996. He worked as a cook for over 20 years in Southern Illinois restaurants.



He is survived by his mother, Joyce Smith of Carbondale; sister and brother-in-law Pamela (Ron) McCollom of Mulkeytown; niece, Jenny McCollom of Carbondale; cousins, Linda and Steve Thompson, Mark and Andy Phemister.



He was preceded in death by his father, Don Smith, and grandparents.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.



Visitation will be 10 am to 12 pm on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Meredith Funeral Home, Carbondale. Graveside services will be immediately following at Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale with Rev. John Annable officiating.
