Pat Ridings

MURPHYSBORO  – Patsy Kathleen Ridings, 82, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Pat was born on June 27, 1941 to David Isaac and Alice Kathleen (Johnson) Wright in Cobden. She married Tom Ridings 29 years ago in Murphysboro.

Pat is survived by her husband Tom, sons Jeff Hastings and Mark Hastings of Murphysboro, and Eric Leinicke of Herrin; Step-son Travis Ridings of Murphysboro; grandchildren, Coy Hastings of Murphysboro, Arron Leinicke of Herrin, and Madison Hastings of Murphysboro, and Liam Ridings of Murphysboro; great-grandchildren Alexus Hastings, Kiai Hastings, and Colton Hastings, all of Murphysboro; sisters Nadine Lacy of Elkville, Gail (Lawrence) George of Elkville, Linda (Jack) Farris of Royalton, Myrna Greg of Herrin; and brother Eddie Wright of Elkville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Nancy Wright and Marsha Wisely, and brother Mike Wright.

Pat loved to spend her time baking in the kitchen.

A memorial service for Pat will be on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 3:00pm at Meredith Funeral Home with Rev. John Annable officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 1:00pm until the time of service.
