Pamela Sue Jones

Carbondale – Pamela Sue Jones, 60, passed away at 11:34 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at home in Carbondale, surrounded by her loving family.



Pam was born on April 22, 1957 in Carbondale, Illinois to Donald Ray and Phyllis (Robinson) Bonds. She married William T. Jones on December 20, 1986 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Imperial Palace.



She is survived by her husband, William Jones of Carbondale; and son, Bradley Jones of Cape Girardeau, MO and; daughter, Kellee Jones of Carbondale and; two grandchildren, Alexis and Makenzi Jones of Hampton, Kentucky.



She is preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Bonds and her brother, Charlie Bonds.



Pamela was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and a best friend to Terri Steinmetz. She was a compassionate and caring individual who always thought of others before herself. Pamela worked over 2 decades with Fred Black, Bob Bahr Sr. and Bob Bahr Jr. at State Farm Insurance Agency. In 1995, Pamela was diagnosed with cancer, but overcame it for 22 years. Her hobbies included photographing eagles and a big fondness for Elvis Presley.



Services for Pam will be at 1:00 pm Friday, April 28th at Meredith Funeral Home, Carbondale with Rev. John Annable officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Friday.



Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
