Pamela Kay Burke

GRAND TOWER – Pamela Kay Burke, 62, of Grand Tower, IL passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.

Pamela was born on July 13, 1961 to Jack and Sharon (Edwards) Knupp in Murphysboro, IL. She married Broderick Burke in 1980 in Grand Tower.

Pamela is survived by her husband, sister, Jackie Johnson of Wasilla, AK; nephew Luke Johnson of Wasilla, AK; brother-in-laws Michael (Susan) Burke of Murphysboro, IL; William (Tonia) Burke of Murphysboro, IL; John (Jeannie) Burke of DuQuoin, IL; and Kingsley (Jill) Mainer of Thebes, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pamela was an avid gun enthusiast and hunter. She adored her 7 Doberman Pinchers, including Zanigan. She was dedicated to her job as manager, purchaser, and saleswomen. She was a loving wife who was dedicated to her husband Broderick and their life together. Pamela had many friends and was faithful to them all. She was always ready to lend a helping hand.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Methodist Church in Grand Tower with William J. Burke officiating. Burial will follow at Walker Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until the time of service on Thursday at the church.
