Norma M. Robinson

Norma M. Robinson, 88, of Carbondale passed way at 6:08 p.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Norma was born on March 8, 1923 in Carbondale to Mr. and Mrs. Stanton. She married James E. Robinson in Jackson, Missouri on July 18, 1942. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1998. She is also preceded in death by her son, Kenneth, and all of her brothers and sisters. Survivors include one daughter and son in law Charlene and Larry Miller of Glenview, and one son, David Robinson of Carbondale. Norma had attended church at Murdale Baptist church and was a member of The First Baptist in Carbondale (currently The View). Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale. Reverend Josh Swain will officiate. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Murphysboro. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2011, at Meredith Funeral Home. The preferred form of remembrance are memorials to VNA TIP Hospice.
