Nancy Joan Youngblood

MARION - Nancy J. Youngblood, age 85 of Marion, IL and formerly of Danville, IL died on Sunday, December 27, 2020. She was born on July 18, 1935 in Warren County, IN the daughter of Helen Hushaw and Charles Handy. She married Lyle Franklin Youngblood on January 3, 1953 and he preceded her in death on January 10, 2005.



Nancy is survived by her daughters, Marilyn (Skip) Starkey of Carterville, Illinois, Connie Bush of Montgomery, Indiana and Linda (Buck) Barr of Champaign, Illinois. Three grandchildren Clint Bush of New Braunfeld, TX, Sarah Ferguson of Rigby, Idaho, and Ryan Barnes of Tuscola, Illinois and three great grandsons; brother Charles William Handy of Indianapolis, IN.



She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Lyle Franklin Youngblood.



Nancy was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church of Carbondale, Illinois. She had a career as a beautician and managed the Danville Beauty School for many years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and sewing.



Private Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Carbondale, Illinois with Reverend Paul Waterman officiating. The service will be live streamed on the Meredith Funeral Home website (www.meredithfh.com). Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Danville, Illinois.



In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Epiphany Lutheran Church and Shriners Hospital in St Louis, Missouri.
