Michele Chicks

CARBONDALE – Michele Chicks, 70, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at home surrounded by her family.



Michele was born on November, 24, 1949 in Merrill, WI to LaVerne and Dolores (Caron) Buetow. She married Ken Chicks on August 24, 1975 in Madison, WI. He preceded in death on February 2, 2015.



Michele worked as a nurse until her retirement in 2008. She was a dedicated volunteer of Hospice of Southern Illinois. She loved spending time with her family and friends.



Michele is survived by her daughters, Kayce and Aaron Henderson of Johnston City and Tina and Chris Patterson of Mountain Home, ID; grandchildren, Kaylenn and Sarah Dreppard of Carbondale, Dakota and Cameron Patterson of Yuba City, CA, Mattie Rametta of Johnston City and Alana Rametta of Thompsonville; sisters, Jackie and Tuffy Sutton of Marion, Fran and Steve Baitinger of Fremont, WI, Karen and Mark Kaniuga of Desert Hot Springs, CA, and Cheri and Dennis Rickert of Bowler, WI; and brothers, Terry and Laura Albrecht of Buellton, CA and Russel Albrecht of Bowler, WI.



She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ken Chicks, and son Tracy Allen.



Memorials may be made in her name to Hospice of Southern Illinois.



Per her wishes cremation rites will be accorded and no services will be held.
