Mary Lou Huffman

Grand Tower - Mary Lou Huffman, 84, of Grand Tower, passed away12:02 a.m., Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Union County Hospital, Anna. She was born on November 12, 1929, at Grand Tower, to Albert and Grace (Chaney) Huffman to whom she became caregiver in their later years. Survivors include many nieces, nephews, including Mike (Nina) Lofton of Cobden and Cheryl (Jim) Davis of Murphy, NC, plus great nieces, great nephews, and a host of cousins. Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and six sisters. Mary Lou was of the Christian faith, she had been a secretary for various companies including G.E., CIPS, Bechtel Corporation, Atomic Energy Commission and she also served as a cook on the Amoco towboat. Funeral service will be will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Meredith funeral chapel in Grand Tower with Pastor Carl Dillow Officiating. Visitation will be that same day from 10 a.m. utill service time. Burial will be in Walker Hill Cemetery, Grand Tower.
