Mary Lee Edwards-Yancey

Carbondale - Mary Lee Edwards-Yancey, 56, passed away at 12:35 p.m., on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at her home. Mary was born January 21, 1957 in East St. Louis, IL, to Eugene Munroe and Georgia Ann (Solomon) Edwards. Her mother preceded her in death. She is survived by her father, Eugene Edwards and her many friends including, Jeanne (Donald) Hausman of Carbondale, Deb (Joel) VanVlymen of Pomona, Jonna James of DeSoto and Susan (Loy) Addington of Makanda. It was Mary's wishes to be cremated. A gathering of friends and family was held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Meredith Funeral Home, Carbondale. Memorial donations are the preferred form of remembrance, and may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, and will be accepted by the funeral home.
