Lela Fern Hagler

CARBONDALE – Lela Fern Hagler, 98, of Carbondale, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Manor Court of Carbondale.



Lela was born on January 25, 1920 to Grover Lindsey and Lela Rose (Kingkaid) in Hurst.



She is survived by her sons, Randy Glisson of Carterville and Jim Hagler of Carterville; grandchildren, Angela Craig, Christopher Glisson, Kenneth James Hagler, and Tarna Starann Pahl; great grandchildren, Devin Glisson, Catelyn Craig, Alex Craig and Zoey Hagler; and great- great grandson, Ezra Glisson.



Lela is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and great grandchild, Braydon Pahl.



Lela worked as a secretary for Southern Illinois University. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Worthy Grand Matron of the Star of Egypt Chapter.



It is Lela’s wishes for no services to be held.



Memorials may be made to Eastern Star, Murphysboro Chapter and will be accepted at the funeral home.
