Kimberly F. Hassebrock

GORHAM – Kimberly Fay Hassebrock, 58, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 in Grand Tower surrounded by her loving family.

Kim was born on May 30, 1965 in Carbondale to Merle and Ella (Ellet) Baltzell. She married August “Squeek” Hassebrock in Murphysboro in 1990.

Kim loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards and dice. She also loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, Baywatch, Hawaii Five-0 and Little House on the Prairie. She loved to rock out to classic rock music, especially AC/DC and Bee Gees.

Kim is survived by her son, Kenneth (Stephanie Ballheimer) Hassebrock; daughter, Skyla (Jeramy) Evans all of Gorham, step-daughter, Leah (Jason) Rawson of Carbondale; brother, Martin Baltzell of Paducah, KY; grandchildren, Abel Hassebrock, Remingtyn Evans, Wesley Ballheimer-Hassebrock and Jaylyn Jausel; very special friends Scott and Stacia Staggs of Grand Tower; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and the whole town of Grand Tower and Gorham.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Anita and Rosanna Baltzell; and brother, Kenneth Baltzell.

Graveside services for Kim will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Walker Hill Cemetery in Grand Tower with Rev. Wes Henson officiating.
