Kevin J. Baird

CARBONDALE – Kevin J. Baird, 60, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at his home.



Kevin was born on April 8, 1961 to Jack Cecil Baird and Arthella Glenda (Wingerter) McReynolds in Murphysboro, Illinois.



Kevin is survived by his mother Arthella, brother Curtis (Gina) Baird of Carbondale, Illinois; sister Jacqueline Ann Baird of Carbondale, Illinois; nephews Aeian Baird of Carterville, Illinois, Corbin Baird of Carbondale, Illinois, and Riley Baird of Carbondale, Illinois; and his uncle Michael Baird of Murphysboro, Illinois.



He was preceded in death by his father Jack Baird.



Kevin served his country in the Army in 1981 and was honorably discharged in 1985. He worked for a military contractor, Northrop Grumman before returning to Southern Illinois. Kevin worked for Walmart in Carbondale for several years in the electronics department.



A private burial will take place at Mound City National Cemetery at a later date.
