Kenneth W. Wells Kenneth W. Wells, 52, of Grand Tower, passed away at 9:35 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012 at his home in Grand Tower. Kenneth was born in Murphysboro, IL on July 28, 1959 to Francis and Shirley (Robertson) Wells. His father precedes him in death as well as his grandparents. He is survived by his mother Shirley Wells; a brother, Gary Wells of Grand Tower, two sisters and a brother-in-law; Sue Lawson of Makanda and Linda and Randy Ellet of Grand Tower, and one nephew Tony Lawson of Makanda. Kenneth served his country in the United States Army and worked for Dyno Nobel Plant in Wolf Lake for 14 years. He enjoyed computers and was very interested in movies and music. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Meredith Funeral Chapel in Grand Tower with Reverend John Cripps officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the funeral chapel. Burial with military rites will be in Walker Hill Cemetery in Grand Tower, IL. The preferred form of remembrance is memorials made to the American Legion Post 127 Color Guard.
