Kenneth Coss

Murphysboro – Kenneth Coss, 80, of Murphysboro passed away at 7:30 p.m. on November 18, 2016 at his residence with his family by his side.



Kenneth was born in Crystal Lake on June 16, 1936 to Kenneth Sr. and Mildred (Zollars) Coss.

Kenneth worked as a truck driver for over fifty years.



He is survived by one son, Brian (Jamie) Coss of Burlington, WI; three daughters, Melanie (Bob) Schmidt of McHenry, Denise (Tim) Downey of Murphysboro, and Kathy Coss of Murphysboro; four brothers, Chuck (Cathy) Coss, Bill (Shirley) Coss, and Ronnie Coss all of Crystal Lake, and Richard Coss of Barron, WI; one sister, Betty Magnuson of Longmont, CO; seven grandchildren, Eric and Monica Schmidt, Christen Moore, Joe Downey, Courtney and Kenneth Coss, and Katie Jones; one great-grandchild, Zion Coss; Step Grandson, Jacob Wedman; four step-great grandchildren, Aaron, Alycia, Ariel, and Aaniah Moore; many nieces and nephews, and all of his four legged fur babies.



Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Mildred Coss; two brothers, Jimmy and Bob Coss; and one grandson, Josh Coss.



Kenneth’s wishes were to be cremated and there will be no services.



Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale is assisting the family with arrangements.
