Kathy Edgar

Makanda – Kathy Edgar, 55, of Makanda passed away at 10:45 pm on Monday, April 4, 2016 at her home attended by her husband.



Kathy was born July 25, 1960 to Bill and Shirley (Stucker) Hill in Harrisburg. She was united in marriage with Charles “Chuck” Edgar on February 14, 2003 in West Frankfort, IL and he survives.



Other survivors include two stepsons, Dereck Edgar of Carbondale and Nicholas Edgar of Makanda; two brothers, John and Ron Hill both of Marion; and nephew Travis.



She was preceded in death by her parents.



Kathy was employed at Shawnee Christian Nursing Home in Herrin for 34 years where she worked in Social Services.



A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday April 8, 2016 in Meredith Funeral Home, Carbondale with Glen Sanders officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.



Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
