Julia Steinmetz

DE SOTO – Julia Steinmetz, 59, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.



Julia was born on April 11, 1963 to Howard and Jane (Tatum) Hance in Carbondale.



Julia is survived by her mother, Jane Hance, son Scott Steinmetz, sister Jane Mckinney, and brother Bob Wheatley.



She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Hance.



Julia was a great person and friend, a wonderful girlfriend, and an exceptional mother. She always brightened someone's day.



Funeral services for Julia will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale with Rev. Tommy Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin. Visitation will be from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
