Golda Sue Bagby

CARBONDALE – Golda Sue Bagby, 81, of Carbondale, passed away at home on Sunday, July 5, 2020.



Sue was born February 3, 1939 in Carbondale to Clarence and Virginia (Wild) Reiman. She married Homer Matt “Speed” Bagby on May 26, 1979 in Carbondale. He preceded her in death on October 12, 2003.



She is survived by her two grandsons, Zach Heern and wife Theresa of Gainesville, FL and Phillip Heern; great-grandchildren, Leah and Ezekiel Heern of Gainesville, FL and Treyton Heern of Ava; daughter-in-law, Janet Heern of Gainesville, FL; step-daughters, Nina Bagby-Bishop and husband Hal, Tina Guard, Lisa Oyler and husband, Jim, and Melinda Randall and husband Phil; and cousins Jody Lindsey and husband George, Beth Wild and Lloyd Wild and wife Shirley.



She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, Ron Heern.



Sue was a member of Vine Church in Carbondale. She worked alongside her husband Homer who was a self-employed salesman in the tristate area. Sue loved her dachshunds, sewing, long talks with friends, and her church family.



Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park, Murphysboro with Pastor Noble Staley officiating.



Memorials in Sue’s name may be made to Vine Church in Carbondale.
