Gary Hawk

Gary Dale Hawk, 74 of Ocala, FL formerly of Murphysboro, IL died Thursday, January 2, 2025.

Gary was born on December 1, 1950 in Canton, IL to Raymond Lee and Esther Ruth (Rowald) Hawk.

He married Gale Vaughn on June 12, 1999 at the First Baptist Church in Carbondale. IL and she survives.

Other survivors include a stepdaughter, Sherry (Scott) Swalek of Ocala, FL; step grandson, James Swalek of Ocala. FL; step granddaughter, Gracie Jo Swalek of Loxahatchee, FL; brother, Terry Lee Hawk of Murphysboro; nieces, Renee (Freddy) Murray of Du Quoin, Angela Clover of Cutler, IL; nephew Kenny (Tasha) Clover of Ava, IL; several great nieces and nephews; and brothers-in-law, Steve (Lucy) Parrott and Robert Parrott. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. 

Visitation for Gary will be Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 5 - 7 pm with the funeral at 7:00 pm with Pastor Ralph Brandon officiating at the Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale, IL.

Gary was attending the Agape Baptist Church in Ocala. FL. He was an avid CB amateur radio with his radio handle being Nighthawk.
