Fronie Louise Baltzell

GRAND TOWER - Fronie Louise Baltzell, 93, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Manor Court in Carbondale.



Fronie was born on January 22, 1929 in Murphysboro to William and Emma (Robertson) Riegger. Fronie married William Baltzell on March 31, 1928 in Murphysboro. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2010.



Fronie enjoyed doing embroidery and turning into quilt tops. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.



Fronie is survived by sons, William (Suzanne) Baltzell, and Larry (Mary Beth) Baltzell; daughters, Clara Gale, Terrie (John) Schaeffer, Priscilla Russell, and Tina Baltzell; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren on the way.



She was preceded in death by her husband, William Baltzell; parents; son, Johnny Baltzell; granddaughters, Billi Wills and Christy Gale; brothers, William and George Riegger; sisters, Marie Frisby and Clarabell Russell; and dear friend and aunt, Irene Robertson.



Graveside Services for Fronie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Walker Hill Cemetery in Grand Tower with Bob Henson officiating.



Memorials may be made in Fronie’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
