Della Mae Wilson

Grand Tower - Della Mae Wilson, 94, of Grand Tower, passed away at 8:13 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at her home. Della was born March 30, 1919 in Whittenburg, MO to Curtis and Sarah (Garris) Strickland. She married Harold Franklin Wilson on February 8, 1936 in Jackson, MO. Della is survived by her son, Carl R. (Mary) Wilson of New Lennox; daughter Dottie (Jim) Miles of Anna; four grandchildren, Luanne (Mike) Burdick, Carla (Chris) Carroll, Steve and Jim Wilson; seven great grandchildren, Sarah and Shane Burdick, Della and Chris Carroll, Holly Moore, Amanda and Nathan Wilson; and five great greatgrandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Shorty" Wilson, and a daughter and son-in-law, June and Dale Bludworth, and her parents. Public visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at the funeral home. Private funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 2, 2013 at Meredith Funeral Home, Grand Tower. Interment will be at Walker Hill Cemetery, Grand Tower.
