Deborah L. Priko

CARBONDALE - Deborah L. Priko, 68, passed away suddenly in her home on March 27th.

She is survived by her niece, Keiko Louise Priko McCall of Troy, NC, nephew Robert Priko of Lincoln, NE, and her life partner of nearly 48 years, Daniel Nolton of Carbondale. She was preceded in death by her father William, brothers Billy and Robert, and her mother, Louise.

Deborah was born to William and Louise Priko on March 21st, 1955, in Chicago. As a school girl Deborah enjoyed performing part-time as a dancer and model and loved the music of the Beatles.

She met Daniel while attending SIU in 1975 while majoring in Dance and Theater. In 1977 they moved to Los Angeles where Deborah flourished in a number of professions including computer programming for the Xerox Corporation. She loved movies and was an avid "Star Wars" fan.

In 2002 she and Daniel returned to Carbondale where she chose to retire and excelled at flower arrangements, gardening, and her life-long passion as an amazing cook.

Deborah was a bright and shining star, and she will be missed by all who knew her.
