Bobbie J. Schmit

CARBONDALE - Bobbie Schmit, 87, passed away on October 18, 2022 at her home in Carbondale.


Bobbie was born on November 30, 1934 in Paintsville, KY to Leslie and Elsie (Jones) Reynolds. Bobbie married John Baldridge Sr. and later Robert Panzer. Both of whom preceded her in death.


Bobbie’s passion was caring for others. She worked as a Nursing Assistant for many years. Bobbie was affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Marion and Carbondale. She enjoyed nature, the challenge of puzzles and spending time with her family. She had a deep interest in music in her later years.


Bobbie is survived by seven of her children: John Baldridge, Randy (Wendy) Baldridge, Florence (Fred) Wilferth, Leslie Baldridge, Neil (Dawn) Panzer, Lee (Gail) Panzer, and Tracy Panzer. Twenty-one grandchildren and many beloved great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and three children: Elsie Hampton, Terry Johnson, and Robert Panzer.


Services for Bobbie will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 4:00 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Marion with Pastor Dale Barnhurst and Pastor Samuel Negrea officiating.


Memorials may be made in Bobbie’s name to 3ABN and/or the Marion Adventist Christian School.
