Anita L. Baltzell

GRAND TOWER – Anita Louise Baltzell, 58, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Integrity Healthcare of Marion.

Anita was born on May 1, 1964 in Carbondale to Merle and Ella (Ellet) Baltzell.

Anita loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards and dice. Also, in her earlier years she played pool winning multiple tournaments. She also loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.

Anita is survived by her brother, Martin Baltzell of Paducah, KY; sister, Kim (August) Hassebrock; nephew, Kenneth Hassebrock; niece, Skyla (Jeramy) Evans all of Gorham; great nephews, Abel, Remingtyn and Wesley; great niece, Jaylyn; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and the whole town of Grand Tower.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Rosanna, and brother, Kenneth Baltzell.

Graveside services for Anita will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Walker Hill Cemetery in Grand Tower with Pastor Richard Pyatt officiating.
