Alice Faye Morgan

February 20, 1951 — June 18, 2016

CARBONDALE – Alice “Ali” Faye Morgan, 65, of Carbondale passed away Saturday June 18, 2016 at 7:30am at her home with longtime companion and fiancé John Manis at her side.



Ali was born Feb 20, 1951 at Holden Hospital in Carbondale to J P and Wanda (Davis) Morgan of Anna.



Ali was a 1969 graduate of Elverado High School. She was a dedicated employee to Stiles Office

Solutions in Carbondale for nearly 43 years.



She will be dearly missed by fiancé John Manis of Makanda; two sisters, Kay Etherton of Pittsburg and Johnnie Halstead and husband John of Elkville; niece LenaKay Etherton Wilson and husband James of Richmond KY; two nephews, John Etherton and wife Melissa of Pittsburg and Jeff Miller and wife Jessica of DuQuoin. She was 'Maw Maw Alice' to John Manis' grand-daughter Haley Doan of Carbondale and 'Auntie MawMaw' to four great-nephews, Kolten Wilson, Max Etherton, Jaxten Wilson and Jake Etherton; and two great-nieces Brooklyn (Miller) Sowl (husband Damian) who is serving in the U S Coast Guard at Rivera Beach, FL and Hannah Laney of Pittsburg. Ali was especially close with two aunts, Loretta Manis of Elkville and Mary Engel of Carbondale; and her step-nephew Bill Morgan of Raddle.



She was preceded in death by her parents; three step-brothers Daniel, Charlie and Sam Morgan; and one step- sister Geneva Goodman.



Memorial services will be announced at a later date. It was her wish to be cremated and laid to rest in the Corinth Cemetery near Pittsburg. Memorials are the preferred form of remembrance and may be made in her name to SIH - Cancer Institute, PO Box 3988; Carbondale, IL 62902-3988.
