Adam Dalton

Makanda - Adam Christopher Dalton, 28, passed away at 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at his home. Adam was born September 16, 1984 to Lisa K. Dalton, in Carbondale. She preceded him in death on February 5, 1987. He and his brothers were raised by their loving grandmother, Sondra Dalton of Makanda, affectionately known as "mom." Other survivors include, two brothers, Justin (Christina) Dalton of Roselle and Brandon (Angela) Dalton of Ft. Sill, OK; uncles, Rick Dalton of CO and Kevin (Pam) Dalton of Chattanooga, TN; cousins, Mark Cady of Chattanooga, TN; Brian Vincent and Shannon Vincent of Murphysboro, Scott (Katie) Vincent of Nashville, TN, and Randy (Jennifer) Edmonds of Fishers, IN; great aunt, Brenda Corzine of Makanda; great uncle, Garry (Lynn) Vincent of Makanda. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lisa, great-grandparents, Mildred & Art Vincent, and cousin, Tracey Vincent. Adam had worked at McAlister's in Marion and left there to care for his grandmother. There will be a Visitation on Monday, July 29, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Meredith Funeral Home, Carbondale, with cremation afterwards, as per his wishes. Memorial donations are the preferred form of remembrance and may be made to the family.
