Cathy Dover

DE SOTO – Cathy Darlene Dover, 63, of De Soto passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.



Cathy was born on October 4, 1956 in Carbondale to Ralph and Doris (Crawshaw) Dover.



Survivors include two sisters, Linda Dover of Carbondale, and Gayla Wilson of West Frankfort; one brother, Alan (Karen) Dover of De Soto; one nephew, Joshua (Lisa) Dover of Murphysboro; great-nephews, Patrick and Ethan Dover; aunts, Jeanette McGee, Joan Cargine, Violet Covington, and Anna Mary Rushing; and many cousins.



Cathy was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Dan Wilson.



Cathy was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church in DeSoto where she served as the pianist for many years.



Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Meredith Funeral Home, Carbondale with Pastors Josh Wehrmeier and Chris Hottensen officiating. Interment will be in Lipe Cemetery, Makanda. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.



Memorials may be made to Lipe Cemetery or First Baptist Church in De Soto and will be accepted at the funeral home.
